Storing electronic data has evolved from tapes to discs to chips. What if—like nature—we could store data in a molecule? I came across an interesting article from a Vice off shoot called MotherBoard that proposes this idea. A team of scientists at the University of Washington, along with Microsoft, have successfully stored and retrieved digital data in DNA molecules. Now all I can think of is how much more info my iPhone 18S will be able to store in the future.
